CAAC Go vs Chatbase (2026): pricing, features and which to choose
Short answer: both put an AI agent trained on your own content on your website. Chatbase gives you more channels, a choice of AI models and native calendar booking through Calendly or Cal.com. CAAC Go costs less per AI reply at every paid tier and includes lead capture, booking requests and a shared inbox with human takeover on every plan, including Free. Pick Chatbase if you need Messenger, Instagram, Slack or voice. Pick CAAC Go if you mainly need a website agent that answers, captures leads and hands off to your team at a lower monthly price.

Pricing: what you get for the money
The two products count usage differently, so compare like with like:
- CAAC Go counts one unit per AI reply, whatever happens in it. Test chats count too.
- Chatbase counts message credits per AI response: 1 credit on its Auto model and lighter models, up to 6 on the most capable ones. When the agent runs an action (for example, checking calendar slots), it can make another model request, billed again.
On Chatbase's 1-credit models, the paid tiers work out like this (monthly billing):
| Tier | CAAC Go | Chatbase | Replies per dollar |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | $29 → 2,000 replies | $40 → 700 credits | about 69 vs about 18 |
| Mid | $79 → 8,000 replies | $150 → 4,000 credits | about 101 vs about 27 |
| High | $199 → 25,000 replies | $500 → 15,000 credits | about 126 vs 30 |
Chatbase offers 20% off with yearly billing ($32, $120 and $400 a month). On a 2-credit model, the Chatbase numbers halve. Past your allowance, CAAC Go charges $9 (Starter) or $7 (Growth and Scale) per extra 1,000 replies; Free stops at 200. Chatbase sells extra credits at $40 per 1,000 through auto-recharge.
Where Chatbase is the better fit
Be honest with yourself about these — if one is a must-have, Chatbase is likely the right call:
- More channels. Messenger, Instagram DMs, Slack, phone and voice, plus iOS and Android SDKs. CAAC Go covers the website, email and WhatsApp.
- Real calendar booking. Chatbase's Cal.com and Calendly actions show open slots and book them in the chat. CAAC Go records a booking request that your team confirms; it doesn't read or write a calendar.
- Model choice. You can pick the underlying model per agent and trade cost against quality.
- Helpdesk integrations. Escalation into Zendesk, Salesforce, Intercom, HubSpot, Freshdesk and others (Standard and up).
- More knowledge formats. Notion pages, Word documents and closed support tickets (Pro). CAAC Go takes websites, text, Q&A, PDF, CSV, TXT and Markdown files, and public Zendesk help centers.
- Compliance paperwork. Chatbase states SOC 2 Type II, and HIPAA eligibility on Enterprise.
Where CAAC Go is the better fit
- Lower cost per reply at every paid tier, with more seats included (3, 10 and 20).
- Lead capture, booking requests and handoff on every plan. They're on by default, and they work on Free.
- A shared inbox on every plan. When the AI can't answer, the chat is flagged for follow-up, you get an email with the exact question, and anyone on the team can Take over and later ✨ Hand back to AI.
- It learns from what it missed. Questions the AI couldn't answer land in Suggestions, where you can add the answer in a few clicks.
- Built for owners, not support teams. Paste your link, train, test, paste one snippet — or skip the website and share a chat link.
- Try it on your own site first. /try trains a demo on your pages with no signup and no credit card.
Common questions
Is CAAC Go a Chatbase alternative?
Yes, for the core job: an AI agent trained on your website that answers visitors, captures leads and hands off to a person. It covers fewer channels than Chatbase and doesn't do calendar booking.
Which is cheaper?
At list prices, CAAC Go includes more AI replies per dollar at each paid tier: 2,000 for $29 against 700 credits for $40 at entry level. The gap narrows a little with Chatbase's yearly billing (700 credits for $32, about 22 per dollar against 69), and widens on its multi-credit models or when actions run.
Can I switch from Chatbase to CAAC Go?
Yes. Paste your website into CAAC Go's Data sources, add any text or Q&A you had in Chatbase, then replace the Chatbase snippet with CAAC Go's. Remove the old snippet so visitors don't see two chat buttons. See the install guide.
Does CAAC Go support WhatsApp like Chatbase?
Yes, on Starter and up. Messenger, Instagram and Slack aren't available in CAAC Go.
