CAAC Go vs Tidio (2026): AI agent pricing, features and which to choose
Short answer: Tidio is a live-chat and helpdesk suite with an AI agent, Lyro, that you pay for separately, per AI conversation. CAAC Go is an AI-first website agent where the AI is the product: every plan includes an allowance of AI replies, plus lead capture, booking requests and human handoff. Pick Tidio if your team mainly answers chats by hand and wants rich live-chat tools, visual chatbot flows and social inbox channels. Pick CAAC Go if you want the AI to handle most conversations on its own at a predictable monthly price.
How we checked
Tidio facts come from tidio.com (pricing page, Lyro pages and help center), checked on 28 September 2026. Tidio was running more than one pricing-page layout when we checked; the prices were the same in both. Always confirm on the Tidio pricing page and CAAC Go pricing. Spot something out of date? The unit difference, explained
The prices only make sense once you see what each company counts:
- Tidio Lyro counts a conversation: any interaction with at least one Lyro reply, however many replies follow. Tidio's help center adds that a thread closes after 15 minutes of inactivity and the next message is counted again.
- CAAC Go counts each AI reply. A chat where the AI answers four times uses four.
So an honest comparison has to guess how long your chats run. If a typical chat has three to four AI replies, CAAC Go Growth's 8,000 replies cover roughly 2,000 to 2,700 AI-handled chats for $79 a month. Lyro's largest self-serve tier covers 1,000 conversations for $700 a month. Lyro can be bought on its own or alongside a Tidio live-chat plan. For small volumes the gap is smaller: 50 Lyro conversations cost $39 a month, while CAAC Go Starter is $29 for 2,000 replies.
Tidio's base plans are priced on something else: conversations where your team replies. Lyro and Flows replies don't count toward that limit.
Where Tidio is the better fit
- Your team does most of the chatting. Tidio's inbox has macros, auto-assignment, visitor notes, a live visitors list and satisfaction surveys (Growth and up). CAAC Go's inbox is deliberately simpler.
- You want rule-based chatbot flows. Tidio's visual Flows builder runs sales and FAQ scripts alongside the AI. CAAC Go has no flow builder; the AI handles the conversation.
- You sell on Shopify and want order actions. Tidio agents can cancel orders, issue refunds and change shipping addresses from the inbox (Growth). With the Lyro package, Lyro can recommend products as cards with add-to-cart. CAAC Go answers from your catalog and policies but doesn't look up or change orders out of the box.
- You need social inboxes. Messenger and Instagram DMs sit in the same Tidio inbox. CAAC Go doesn't support either.
- Compliance paperwork. Tidio states SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR and CCPA.
Where CAAC Go is the better fit
- You want the AI to do the work, at a predictable price. The allowance is part of the plan. There's no second AI subscription to size, and the Free plan's 200 replies renew every month.
- Leads and booking requests are built in. The 🎯 Capture lead and 📅 Request appointment actions are on by default on every plan, and each lead or request emails you.
- Handoff you can act on. The AI flags what it can't answer, emails you the exact question, and puts it in Suggestions so you can teach it once.
- It trains itself from your website. Paste your link: the most important pages go first (pricing, hours, contact, booking), and the site refreshes about weekly.
- Try it on your own site first. /try builds a demo from your pages with no signup.
Common questions
Is CAAC Go a Tidio alternative?
It's an alternative to Tidio's Lyro AI agent more than to its live-chat suite. If you mostly want an AI that answers visitors, captures leads and hands off when needed, CAAC Go covers that on its own. If your team lives in a live-chat inbox with flows and social channels, Tidio covers more of that.
How much does Tidio's AI cost?
When we checked, Lyro cost $39 a month for 50 conversations, rising to $700 a month for 1,000 on monthly billing. Annual billing is about 17% less. Every account gets 50 Lyro conversations free, once. Larger volumes are on Plus or Premium through sales.
Can CAAC Go look up Shopify orders?
Not built in. It answers product, shipping and returns questions from your store content, and hands order-specific questions to your team. You can connect your own order API with a Custom API action.
Does CAAC Go work alongside Tidio?
You'd normally pick one chat widget per site, since two launchers confuse visitors. If you keep another helpdesk for email, you can still use CAAC Go for the website chat.
